An employer-driven scheme: pick unemployed diploma or degree holders, define the training to your needs, and HRDC funds the training plus the graduate's monthly stipend over a 3 to 12 month training and placement, after which you can hire them. Budget 2026-2027 raised the total support from Rs 100,000 to Rs 120,000 per graduate and the monthly stipend cap from Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000.

GTES is built for taking on graduates. You choose unemployed diploma or degree holders, shape the training around the skills your business needs, and HRDC funds it, so you get a graduate trained to your requirements at little cost.

What you get: HRDC funds the training, now up to Rs 120,000 per graduate, and pays the graduate a monthly stipend capped at Rs 12,000 during a 3 to 12 month training and placement (both figures raised by Budget 2026-2027). At the end you are well placed to hire someone who already fits.

Watch out for this

Watch out for the exact figures. GTES is lower profile than the newer HRDC flagships and the caps and stipend can change, so confirm the current amounts with the HRDC before you plan around them.
